Pop Star Academy
Title Sequence
Pop Star Academy is a Netflix documentary series that follows the formation of the global group Katseye. The contestants, each coming from different countries and cultures across the globe, compete in a series of missions to secure their spot through judge and fan voting.
The task: Create a title sequence for the documentary series that highlights cultural heritage and overall theme of the competition.

Song: “Debut” by Katseye. Owned by HYBE/Geffen
Hints at who the final members will be based on their cultural background and nationality. For example, Manon (Image 1) is from Switzerland, and the images show her wearing traditional Ghanaian waist beads as a reflection of her African roots as well.
Still Shots
All individuals come together to form one group despite various backgrounds, identities, and upbringings. They are united together by artistry, illustrated by the connecting of pins and string at the center logo for the group.
Purpose
Color scheme (purple, yellow, pink), typography (Etna) and imagery (logo) are derived directly from Katseye’s branding.
Design Justification
